Return Policy
Our goal is one home for life. When that isn't possible, the dog comes back to us — at any age, for any reason, with no questions designed to make you feel bad about it.
Animal welfare first
A living animal, not a return item
A puppy isn't a product with a 30-day window. Every situation gets handled individually, with documentation, and with the dog's welfare as the deciding factor rather than anyone's convenience.
Health concerns after go-home day
If your veterinarian diagnoses a serious congenital or hereditary condition, contact us immediately with the written diagnosis and records. We'll review it under the terms of the health guarantee. Depending on what's found and when, that may mean a replacement puppy, a partial or full refund, or shared veterinary costs — the specifics are spelled out in your purchase agreement.
The first two weeks
If something is genuinely wrong within the first fourteen days — a health issue confirmed by a vet, or a household situation that makes keeping the puppy unsafe — call us right away. The earlier we know, the more options exist for the puppy.
Life changes, later on
Divorce, illness, a move, a job change, an allergy nobody knew about. It happens, and it isn't a moral failing. Tell us as early as you can and we'll take the dog back and find them the right next home ourselves. This applies at eight months and at eight years.
What a return looks like
You contact us. We arrange transport back at a time that works, take the dog into our own home, get a full veterinary workup, and then place them carefully with a family we've vetted. Refunds on a voluntary return are handled case by case and depend on the age and circumstances — but the return itself is never conditional on money.
Need to talk it through?
Reach out — early is better than late.
Whether it's a health question, a behavior problem or a change in your circumstances, we'd rather hear from you while there are still good options on the table.
